My name is Rocky. My human parents rescued me when I was a tiny baby. I was fed with an eye dropper for several weeks, every two hours, by my mom. My blog will follow my daily adventures. And believe me I have a lot of them!

My latest adventure...

On Halloween I decided I was old enough to have a place of my own. Mom was coming in the door and I snuck out. She and dad were sooo very upset. I teased and teased them...I ran from treetop to treetop, coming within inches of their reaching hands. They were both bleeding, from going in and out of the bushes looking for me. I really thought it was funny, until they went in the house and left me outside, ALONE. I found a rather good looking nest and thought I would hunker down for the cold night. Well, that didn't go over very well with the squirrel that built the nest and was calling it home. He chased me out of there and clear down the tree to the ground. Mom was outside and called to me-telling me that it was going to get cold and maybe rain, but I ignored her(who knew she was so smart). She went back in and had her birthday cake without me. The next morning she and dad called and called me, once again, I ignored them.

Mom's birthday cake!! Yes, that's me with a witch's hat on, holding a pumpkin!!

I ran around and acted like a fool for 4 days. Tuesday morning I was cold, wet, hungry and really thirsty. Who knew a squirrel could drink from the pond? I didn't. I was on the deck and mom saw me. She came out and called me over to her (thank goodness she wasn't mad at me). She picked me up and I climbed up on her shoulder. She was so happy and so was I. She gave me a good drink and some yummy food. Then she called dad, she said he started crying when she told him I was home. I will never run off again. Ever, I promise!!
