My name is Rocky. My human parents rescued me when I was a tiny baby. I was fed with an eye dropper for several weeks, every two hours, by my mom. My blog will follow my daily adventures. And believe me I have a lot of them!

Peek A Boo...

I see you!

Mom keeps some extra towels and pieces of fleece fabric on hand for my beds. She has them hanging in a bag by the basement door. I decided that this is the perfect spot for a hiding place aka napping place! Bet you can't see me!

MIA...

I've been Missing In Action, because I've been trying to hide from my mom. I got into some stuff I shouldn't have and broke a couple of mom's things. I knew that if she could find me, I would be grounded to my condo, again!
I think she's catching onto my hiding spots, though.

I love watermelon!

Sooo much! It is yummy and juicy and sweet. I could just eat and eat it. Unfortunately my mom and dad like it too, so I can only have a small piece. That is unless I sneak and eat it, like I did in these pictures. Ha, Ha!

Yummy...

Mom and dad went for a drive yesterday and stopped along the road so mom could pick me some soybeans.

I've never had them before, but they are pretty tasty! Dad says I'm spoiled, whatever that means?

Mom says that potpourri is not good for me. I don't know why, cause it sure tastes good!

Notice how I have worn the hair off my face? That's from trying to get out of my condo. I should know I can't get out by myself, but I keep trying!

Hi

Well, I did it again...I went hiking on top of the kitchen cabinets and I broke something. It was an antique figurine that belonged to dad's aunt Nita. I didn't mean to do it, but boy was mom PISSED. She tried to put me in my condo, but I kept running from her. I was having a grand old time, mom, not so much!

She finally gave up and when I realized I was "safe" I snuggled up to her. Like I said before, she doesn't stay mad for very long. Thank goodness!

Although, I did hear her mention something to dad about squirrel stew. I'm not sure I want to know what goes in that!

I'm grounded!

Let me start out by saying "it's not all my fault"!! Those human grandkids spent the night last night and they sleep in MY room. I really don't like to share, anything. MY food, toys, parents or bedroom.

Normally, my dad puts me in my condo in the morning before he goes to work. On the weekend I usually get to stay in my loft(this is where I sleep every night)! This morning I was the first one up, soooo, I decided to take a little hike to the top of the kitchen cabinets. My mom doesn't like me to go up there cause I tend to knock her pretty things off and sometimes (actually, a lot of times) they get broken.
I don't think she can see me!

Ah, crap...busted!

Okay, I'm getting down. I never get to have any fun.

So, into my condo I went. Just for a little while. Mom never stays mad very long. She loves me!

At least I didn't break anything, today!

I'm sorry...how can anyone be mad at this face?

Greetings!

A lot of you already know me from my human mom's blog,
http://confessionsofathriftyshopper.blogspot.com/
She loves me and talks about my adventures and mis-adventures often.

She and I thought this would be a good way for everyone to enjoy life, from my point of view!

Let me tell you a little about me and how I became a pet. Last year on September 25 my dad rescued me and my brother. We were walking down the street, straight into the yard of some pitbulls. They thought we looked like a yummy little snack. We saw dad and both went right to him. He picked us up and held us close. I felt so safe. When mom came home, she couldn't believe what dad was holding. She was surprised at how tiny we were.

They put us in a box with a soft blanket and some food & water. Sadly, my brother did not live through the night. I miss him. Mom and Heather went and bought puppy replacement milk, cheerios and grapes for me. That milk was just what I needed. Mom fed me with an eyedropper every 4 hours...day and night.

A week later mom and dad bought me my condo! It's actually a 3 level cage, but condo sounds so much cooler! They bought me treats and toys, too. After talking with a rehabber, they found out that I had to live with them through the winter, since I wouldn't have any stored food outside or a nest.

Pretty soon, I started to grow and wanted to explore a little. Mom was so scared that I would crawl in somewhere and wouldn't be able to get out. That never happened! Silly human.

I decided that I like the top shelf, of a set of shelves in the grandkid's room. I made it my loft. I knocked everything that was up there on the floor, to make it my own. Mom and dad gave me some blankets and a box. I have since decorated it with 2 of mom's disney Christmas socks, one of her disney valentine's socks and one of dad's tube socks. I made a little nest out of those. I like things cozy! I also have a barbie stuffed poodle for company. I tend to pick things up as I'm exploring around the house. Mom likes to thrifty shop and so do I.

I'll post some picks of my condo and loft soon!
